This little girl belongs to dear friend Jered.
She is delightful to be around, and takes delight in many things. Like when her dad comes home from work.

And speaking of small cheers
Cheers to the small
What endears one are the small things, the ordinary instances of their life. And keeping oneself on constant observation of the ordinary is the quickest and easiest way to make one's life big and rather extraordinary.
Go. Try it. Report back to me.

This is not for you
I am prone to poetic thoughts.
And swayed by beauty--both tangible and intangible.
Which is why I am often stopped cold and hard on whatever
path I happen to be on.
This is when I remember it's safer to stay in my own yard.

Facts I picked up in the seven o'clock hour
The deepest layer of the brain controls movement.
The middle layer is where the emotions live.
I don't know why, but somehow this information seems extremely pertinent.
What you are
The dog is blissfully aloof. Doesn't follow any twitters or tweets; squirms or wobbles.
Unlike myself.
In the nearby creek lives an unfamiliar family of creatures with the strangest nighttime call.
I can't tell if they are bird or animal or fish.
Or small freshwater mermaids.

Consequence
Do not make me wait too long for word from you.
After a certain amount of days pass, your letters and messages will not matter so much as they do today.
I will have let go, and your tender salutations will be wasted.

Patron Saint of Dreams

Some mornings smell incredible--
like inspiration and good weather mixed with good change,
and dreams leave us in love with something.
Others are just plain hard to get through and over.
This week, my friend, was interspersed with both.
(photo taken on a most wondrous road trip with Ambercita.) We now call this tradition.)
