Two years and two months ago, I harvested this strange plot of cyber space and began these little stories. Wow, days and weeks and months unfurled in the most wondrous of ways.
Within that time I earned a Masters of Fine Arts in Creative Writing, (have curriculum vitae, will travel. Any university looking for a postcard specialist? Anyone?); written a novel; (literary agents, publishers reading? Want to read and take a chance? In the meantime, I'll continue to send out the query letters ...); met amazing people; traveled amazing places; learned a lot about love and even more about myself.
Two years. Two months.
Postcard Stories will remain here, more for my purposes than anything. (Mostly, it has become a library of thoughts and ideas and sentences for me to return to.) But this is the last entry. There are other projects ahead, and other journeys to take. When possible, I do hope you'll come along.
In the meantime, the pleasure has been mine. (And she curtsies as a swarm of friendly bees fly up and to the right. Exit stage left.)

Thanks for the gifts, Shannon. Safe travels; write when you find work :)
What? So out of the loop!
The internet will be a less whimsical place without your updates. I will miss them.
I almost started to cry when I read this. But sometimes you have to let one journey end to start another. And I wish you nothing but the very best adventures.
Happy trails, grasshopper. :)
I'm always ready...with the appropriate soundtrack in hand. Bravo friend, bravo!
Visions and dreams. Reception calling. Tears and joy. Oh, how I will miss your words. I knew you'd make it. Congratulations, dear friend.
I am so happy for your accomplishments Shannon. I will dearly miss your writing, I always put your voice and perfect cadence to the words in my head as I read. I am forever charmed by the complexity of your thoughts and the way you view the world in Shannon-land. I cannot wait to read your book. Please keep us informed!
